While we take care to partner with reputable suppliers and try to ensure the quality of our products, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, safety, or suitability of any product for a particular purpose.

By purchasing or consuming any product sold through this website, you acknowledge and agree that you do so at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Karibu Coffee, its owner, operators, and affiliates (including its founder, volunteers, manager) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or in any way connected to the use or consumption of our products or services.

All products are intended for personal use and not for resale. Customers are responsible for reviewing all product descriptions and ingredient information prior to purchase. If you have allergies, medical conditions, or concerns about caffeine or other ingredients, please consult a qualified healthcare professional before consuming.

All profits from sales are donated to a non-profit organization. The management of this business is conducted on a volunteer basis by Ian Kavaleuski, and it is not operated for personal profit.

1. Legal Status

Karibu Coffee is a for-profit social enterprise currently operating as an unregistered sole proprietorship under the name Valery Kavaleuski in Vienna, Virginia. We are not organized as a nonprofit entity, and purchases made from Karibu Coffee do not qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions. While 100% of net profits are committed to funding goods and services donated to MPC Nairobi Street Boys Rehabilitation Centre, Karibu Coffee remains a for-profit business while our operations remain on a reletively small scale.

2. Terms of Service

By using our website and purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service:

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent, to make a purchase.

  • Products: We currently offer coffee and tea sourced and shipped through Dripshipper. Availability may change without notice.

  • Payments: All payments are processed securely through Shopify. Karibu Coffee does not store or handle credit card details.

  • Donations: 100% of net profits are directed toward purchasing physical goods and services for donation to MPC Nairobi Street Boys Rehabilitation Centre. Donations are not made in cash to avoid fraud. Transparency reports and reciepts will be published quarterly and annually.

  • Intellectual Property: All trademarks, logos, product names, and branding associated with Karibu Coffee are the intellectual property of Ian Kavaleuski and Karibu Coffee.

3. Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

  • Shipping: Products are roasted and shipped directly by Dripshipper. Shipping is available within the U.S. and internationally, subject to fulfillment partner policies.

  • Returns: Due to the perishable nature of coffee and tea, our fulfillment partner does not accept returns at this time.

  • Refunds: If you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us via our Contact Us page. While refunds are not guaranteed, we will review each request on a case-by-case basis.

4. Limitation of Liability

  • Karibu Coffee is not responsible for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or damages arising from the use or misuse of our products.

  • Our products are prepared by third-party licensed roasters; Karibu Coffee does not physically handle or process the coffee or tea.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability of Karibu Coffee, its owners, agents, or affiliates is limited to the amount paid for the product in question.

5. Warranties & Disclaimers

  • All products are provided “as is” and “as available.”

  • We make no guarantees regarding flavor consistency, roast level, or delivery times, as these are dependent on our fulfillment partner.

6. Privacy Policy

We value your privacy. Customer information is collected solely to fulfill orders and provide service. Payment data is processed by Shopify. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy page.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in Virginia courts.
